Due to unprecedented regulatory activity levels at the California Air Resources Board and the local air districts to regulate engines, largely as a result of statewide diesel particulate abatement policies, the SCAP Air Quality Committee felt it would be wise to host "Engine Regulations 101: The Short Course," a half-day workshop targeting the most important information your agency needs to know to understand and comply with engine regulations. The workshop has been tentatively scheduled for Thursday, October 6, 2005.
The focus of the workshop will be on state and local air regulations impacting stationary (pump drivers, generators, compressors), portable and fleet engine operations, compliance strategies, such as emissions controls technology, and permitting information.
We are trying to determine the interest level in this workshop (how many would come) and the best place to hold it (to enhance attendance). Please take a moment and answer the questions below:
Very knowledgeable _____ Somewhat Knowledgeable _____ Limited Knowledge _____
North L.A. Area _____ South L.A. Area _____ Orange County Area _____ Inland Empire Area _____ San Diego Area _____
Please fax your response back to (949) 489-0150 by July 1. If you'd like further information on this workshop, please contact the SCAP office at (949) 489-7676.
